  • Collection Valuation Report: detailed view opens pre-sorted by Low value descending; top 10 list moved to summary report only.
v1.7.3 28 July 2026
  • Collection Valuation Report: top 10 now shows for all users with Low valuations (not only those with High/NM); Mid/High summary cards show — instead of misleading "No token" when data not yet fetched.
v1.7.2 28 July 2026
  • Collection Valuation Report: user name on report; sortable Low/Mid/High columns (secondary by Artist); Print Detailed and Print Summary modes; summary report includes album counts, tier totals, and top 10 by High (NM).
v1.7.1 28 July 2026
  • Collection Valuation Report and CSV export added to the Dashboard Exports card (Pro).
v1.7.0 27 July 2026
  • Sets (Pro): build and manage DJ set tracklists drawn from your vinyl collection. Individual track times fetched from Discogs on demand (4-minute default where unavailable). Sets support genre, decade, and notes filters in the track picker to aid curation. When marked as Played, the set duration is committed to the cartridge's stylus wear record.
v1.6.5 27 July 2026
  • Bulk Discogs valuation refresh (Pro): a Refresh Valuations button on the Albums listing updates Low / Mid / High market prices for every Discogs-linked album in the collection in one pass, with automatic rate-limiting to stay within the Discogs API limit.
v1.6.4 27 July 2026
  • Edition number field: albums with "Numbered" in their Edition/Pressing field now show a dedicated Edition Number input (e.g. 042 of 1000). The field appears on the Album Edit page and in the Discogs confirm-pressing panel, and is displayed alongside the Edition/Pressing note in the Albums listing.
v1.6.3 26 July 2026
  • Flag for Cleaning toggle added to every row in the Albums listing — no Play Log required. Click once to flag a record for the cleaning batch; click again to remove it.
  • Flag for Restore and Flatten checkboxes on Play Log now save immediately when ticked, independent of Save Play. Flags set after a play is already saved are captured correctly.
v1.6.2 26 July 2026
  • Record Cleaning Order: new report available from Albums listing. Generates a printable order form pre-populated with all records flagged for cleaning or at the 10-play cleaning threshold. Each record includes a service selector (Clean Only / with sleeve options / Premium / Warp Flattening) and a comments field. Saves as PDF for return to SCA.
v1.6.1 26 July 2026
  • Discogs pressing images: confirmation step now shows up to six secondary images in a horizontally scrollable strip (140 × 140 px), making it easier to find and compare disc label scans within the image set. Heading renamed from "Label" to "Pressing Images" to reflect that the strip may include back covers, inner sleeves, and label scans.
v1.6.0 26 July 2026
  • Discogs label images: pressing confirmation step now shows label scan images fetched from Discogs, making it easier to identify the correct pressing visually. Label thumbnail also appears in each Discogs search result card as images load. Verify with Discogs result list similarly updated.
v1.5.9 26 July 2026
  • Pro: Collection Valuation — Discogs marketplace pricing (Low/Mid VG+/High NM) stored per album; auto-fetched when a Discogs ID is linked. Refresh button in Play Log album panel. Collection Valuation Report with all albums flagged where Discogs ID is missing; CSV export.
v1.5.8 25 July 2026
  • Play Log: stylus tip cleaning badge now uses inline styles to ensure consistent rendering across all browsers and devices.
v1.5.7 25 July 2026
  • Play Log: "Plays Since Tip Cleaning" count now displays as a red badge with white text when above 5, making the alert more immediately visible.
v1.5.6 24 July 2026
  • Discogs barcode search: UPC-A codes (12 digits) now automatically retry as EAN-13 (leading zero prepended) when the first search returns no results — fixes failures for releases Discogs indexes under the 13-digit barcode.
v1.5.5 23 July 2026
  • Cartridges: pre-VRT play estimates now carry a conservative wear factor (×1.39) reflecting unknown record condition during the pre-VRT period — giving a more accurate picture of stylus hours accumulated before you started tracking.
  • Setup Wizard: a warning is shown if estimated pre-VRT hours approach or exceed your cartridge's service interval, prompting you to contact your dealer before continuing.
  • Appendix A.12 (new): full reference for the stylus wear calculation — base figure, all wear factors (pre-VRT, 45 RPM, contamination, DJ use), and the four service states.
v1.5.4 23 July 2026
  • Cartridges: setup now asks for sides played per week before VRT rather than a total lifetime count. VRT multiplies the rate by the cartridge's age to work out the estimated total — a figure anyone can provide without needing to count back over years.
  • German translation: remaining screens (Setup Wizard, cleaning batch, exports, and reports) are now fully translated. All user-facing text across VRT is now available in German.
v1.5.2 22 July 2026
  • German translation Part 1: dashboard, play log, albums, cartridges, tonearms, turntables, equipment settings, record restore, licence, account settings, and authentication screens are now available in German. Switch language in Account Settings.
v1.5.0 22 July 2026
  • Session heartbeat: VRT now sends a background ping every 10 minutes to keep your session alive while you're listening. If the session does expire, a banner appears with a login prompt rather than a silent redirect.
  • Frequency of Use: "Now and Again" (approximately twice a year) and "Very Rarely" (approximately once every two years) are now available as frequency options.
  • Discogs search: catalogue numbers of 1–7 digits now use the dedicated catalogue number search parameter for more precise matching.
  • Setup Wizard: new users are guided through equipment setup on first sign-in — turntable or record player, tonearm (for separates), cartridge, install date, pre-VRT listening rate, and stylus interval.
  • Play Log: "New title added" confirmation shown after a Discogs import; a clear message is shown if your session expires during a Discogs search.
v1.4.13 17 July 2026
  • Record Cleaning Service (Australian accounts): albums accumulate a sides-since-clean counter as you log plays. After 10 sides, flag any album for cleaning from the Play Log Actions panel. Build a batch, then dispatch — VRT emails a cleaning schedule to SCA (or your configured dealer) and opens the service page. Each dispatched album is marked as cleaned and its counter resets.
v1.4.12 17 July 2026
  • Play Log: the search field now accepts matrix codes and catalogue numbers — any code etched in the dead wax can be used to find a record in your collection or on Discogs.
  • Play Log: dead wax camera — a camera button beside the search field opens a close-up viewfinder designed for reading small etched text in the run-out groove. Tap Capture to enlarge the frame on screen.
v1.4.11 17 July 2026
  • Albums: the matrix number (dead wax code) is now imported automatically from Discogs when adding a record via the Play Log or Albums.
  • Play Log: each Discogs result card now shows the matrix identifier for that pressing, helping you confirm you have the right one before importing.
v1.4.10 17 July 2026
  • Referral cards for Record Restore, Flat.Duo, and Cartridge Service now always show — linking to your dealer's relevant page if one is configured, or to the SCA product page if not. Previously these cards were hidden when no dealer link was set up.
v1.4.9 13 July 2026
  • Predictive Plus: lookback window options widened to 60 / 90 / 180 days (default 90). Gives a more stable consumption baseline for collections with variable listening frequency.
  • Predictive Plus: if no Record Restore events have been recorded yet, a seed-rate prompt lets you enter your expected cleans per month. The forecast runs immediately from that seed and updates automatically as real usage accumulates.
v1.4.8 13 July 2026
  • Albums: Condition grading — record media and sleeve condition (Mint through Poor) on each album using the Discogs standard scale.
  • Albums: Personal star rating — rate any album 1–5 stars from the add or edit form.
  • Albums: Pressing details — two new fields for Pressing Country and Matrix Number (deadwax etching).
  • Albums: Loan tracking — mark a record as on loan, record the borrower's name, contact, and loan date. A filter on the listing shows all currently loaned records.
v1.4.7 12 July 2026
  • Albums: new Notes search field in the filter bar — enter any word or phrase to find albums whose Notes field contains it.
v1.4.6 12 July 2026

v1.4.2 7 July 2026
  • Sets (Pro): plan a set list from your collection and run through it at the Play Log with one tap per record. The app advances to the next album automatically after each save. Skip individual records or end the set at any time. Access Sets from the navigation menu. A Pro subscription is required.
v1.4.1 7 July 2026
  • Playback History: filter plays by cartridge.
  • Cartridges: a Play history link on each cartridge row shows all plays logged with that cartridge.

v1.2.57 2 July 2026
  • Fix: Add Service Event now saves correctly. The form was submitting to the wrong target and sending an incorrect HTTP method, which prevented service events from being stored.

v1.2.55 2 July 2026

  • Fix: the Support link in the navigation now points to the correct address.

v1.2.52 30 June 2026
  • QR code location labels: a new "Print Labels" page generates a printable QR code label for every storage location in the collection — cut and stick to shelves or boxes. The Album Edit and Album Add forms now show a camera scan button beside the Storage Location field (on supported browsers); scanning a label QR code fills the field instantly.
v1.2.51 30 June 2026
  • Storage Location filter: when level labels are configured, the filter bar now shows cascading level dropdowns instead of the previous hidden filter. Select a Level 1 value (e.g. Room) to reveal a Level 2 dropdown populated with sub-values found in your collection, and so on down the hierarchy. Selecting 'All' at any level narrows to that prefix only. The free-text search is retained when no level labels are configured.
v1.2.50 30 June 2026
  • Storage Location now supports a user-defined code hierarchy of up to four levels (e.g. Room / Cabinet / Column / Shelf). Define your level labels using the new Configure Storage Levels panel on the Albums page. Once labels are set: Album Add and Edit show a structured entry modal with one labelled field per level, codes stored as uppercase joined with '/'; Play Log shows the label structure as a placeholder; Albums filter shows a free-text location search only when no labels are configured.

  • Play Log: Storage Location shown in the Selected Album card, beneath the Selected Cartridge Usage panel — always visible and editable inline.
v1.2.48 27 June 2026

Scenarios are sourced from the Electronics Illustrated controlled play-count experiment (135 dirty / 833 clean / 1155 clean + static control): Regular Record Restore program (1.0× wear), Cleaned but not maintained (1.39×), and Severely contaminated/never treated (8.56×). All three project forward from your current actual accumulated hours using your base play rate. The chart shows one historical line diverging into three futures at today, with a life-extension summary comparing maintained vs. contaminated scenarios.
v1.2.44 25 June 2026
  • New: Deck Intelligence — cartridge service life forecast based on your rolling play rate. Shows forecast date under actual play conditions vs. a hypothetical where every record is Record Restore treated. Contamination wear cost is quantified in hours, percentage, and weeks of life lost. Chart shows cumulative wear (actual vs. clean) from last service through to projected threshold crossing. Pro feature.

  • Support link added to the navigation bar — opens the VRT support page on the Secret Chord Analogue website.
